Recommendations:

Based on our analysis of your answers to our questions, we recommend that you only have your water tested for the following items. The reasons for our recommendations are listed in the next section of this report:

1) Coliform and E. coli Bacteria
2) Color
3) Iron & Manganese
4) Nitrate
5) Odor
6) Pesticides & Herbicides
7) Volatile Organic Compounds

• Please have your water tested promptly, especially since it has been 5 years since you last had your water tested. All reputable state and local health departments, including the Center for Disease Control, recommend that you have your water tested at least once a year.

• After you receive your laboratory results please contact us for recommendations on removing any contaminants found to be in your water (1-866-278-2634 toll free).

Reasons for our recommendations:

Our recommendations are based on the following:

    1. Local, State and National Health experts recommend testing this contaminant every year. The occasional flooding occurring in your area could wash bacteria into your well.

    1. Basic physical test to check the color of water. Should be done with each annual water test.

    1. The "Brown" stains in your toilet bowl, bathtub, or white laundry items could be due to elevated levels of Iron and Manganese in your water. We need to know the level of iron or manganese in your water in order to recommend the proper treatment system.

    1. The livestock and crop farming in your area typically give off high levels of nitrates. You also should find out if they are leaching into your water supply.

    1. The livestock and crop farming in your area typically give off high levels of nitrates. You also should find out if they are leaching into your water supply.

    1. The crops on the farms in your area are likely sprayed with pesticides and herbicides. You should find out if these extremely harmful chemicals are leaching into your water supply.

    1. You have explained that you regularly pour chemicals or other hazardous products down the drain. They funnel into your septic system. We'd like to know if they are also making their way into your water supply.
